Welcome to Merauderweb

Another collection of random links

I've been a bit slack in posting lately. A slight diversion into the world of .NET has left me feeling slightly drained brainwise. I think a longer article giving some detail on my experiences is planned for the future, something along the lines of ".NET viewed through the eyes of a Lotus Developer". Until then, here's some random links!

Here's a handy aid to help a lot of people out there. Particularly, there are a lot of people who reside on the Starwars Galaxies forums who could benifit from reading this.

Next, this little article sums up some of my recent experiences with computers and notworks perfectly. In parts it mirrors a conversation I've had with my friend Ben almost word for word in regards to both of us having a particular dislike for having to deal with our own hardware. I particularly like this little paragraph:

If you made a Venn diagram, there would be two non-overlapping circles, one of which was labeled, “Times when I am truly happy” and the other of which was labeled, “Times when I am logged in as root, holding a cable, or have the case open.”

My case has been open a lot recently (and in fact still is technically always going to be "open"), and this mirrors my thoughts so closely that it scares me.

After some recent hands on experience with CSS, I feel obliged to post these CSS Jokes. A warning to some, they are extremely geeky, but anyone who has worked with CSS a bit will no doubt chuckle at least once. On a personal note: Dear CSS, I fucking hate you and want to stab your eyes out with a sharp pencil, mechanical if possible but the old traditional kind will suffice as well if need be.

..and finally - Tickle Me Elmo fans beware, this link leads to images of a fur coat made entirely from the pelts of tickle me elmos. Fantasic!
