On Ghost Recon

Ghost Recon (aka G.R.A.W) on the 360 was hailed as possibly "the best game on the 360 yet". Obviously at the time, there weren't really many titles out, so that claim wasn't all that amazing really, however the game is very impressive. The campaign mode is a lot fun (although frustrating in parts, especially when you're limping through a level with low health and it suddenly decides you've reached a checkpoint and autosaves, meaning you have to complete the next set of objectives starting with low health), and the multiplayer looks pretty impressive too - especially the co-op. It ends up being one of those games which shows off hints of what the 360 can do when combined with live by taking a pretty impressive game, and giving it multiple modes of play by utilising the Live! service.

So far I've probably spent most time in either Campaign mode, or Co-Op mode. The thing I'm most impressed about with Co-op so far is that lag simply doesn't seem to be a factor. I've had a few sessions with a friend over in Norway, and we didn't notice any issues with lag at all. Except maybe when he shot me in the head when I ran in front of him while sniping - we're blaming that one on the lag.

Finally a couple of people have remarked that the site has been lacking updates recently. This is very true. I can partly blame the Xbox 360 for this, but the other part can be blamed on a recent project change at work (Ok it's probably more the 360). Rest assured that the stream of incoherent rantings should resume shortly / eventually / sometime.
