TooManyTabs - From the department of first world problems

TooManyTabs Frees Up Memory in Chrome Without Losing Your 50 Open Tabs – I’m notorious for holding open quite a few tabs, but if things every got bad enough that they were slowing the system down I’d like to think I could deal with that without needing this extension. None the less, the extension exists, and you might get some value out of it.. or not. Personally I recommend 12gb of RAM and you won’t ever notice anything slowing down.

5 Obscure Facts About HTML5 LocalStorage

5 Obscure Facts About HTML5 LocalStorage – I possibly only found this interesting as I’m playing about with HTML5 LocalStorage in one of my personal projects. The stuff around things like isolation when using SSL and the differences between SessionStorage and LocalStorage sound like things which are good to know up front, to avoid any horrible debugging sessions. Microsoft's Mouse Without Borders

Microsoft's Mouse Without Borders: the KVM that killed the KVM (video) – sounds good, but it also sounds pretty much like Synergy which has been around for quite some time now, and handles different operating systems. As a side note, I was going to mention that Synergy hasn’t been updated for a while – but I checked the site before posting this, and it looks like there’s been a burst of renewed activity on the project.

spin.js–a cross browser spinner requiring no images or CSS

I can’t quite work out when I’d need to use spin.js, however it’s still kind of cool. Tags: JavaScript, Web Development

Sharing Google+ to Evernote

Sharing Google+ to Evernote – is it just me, or are a lot of the methods of using Google+ in combination with other services all seeming a little hacky right now. Many rely on the service having ‘secret’ email addresses. Surely we can do better than this?

Another World–JavaScript version

Another World (a.k.a OUt of This World) is a classic game released in 1991, and this is a port of it across to JavaScript. Despite the bugs and minor glitches, it’s a fair impressive demonstration of what can be done in a browser these days.
